Taking some time for Science!

Ryan Road students visited the Tech-knowledgy lab over the past week to learn about light and sound through some experiential learning stations. Partnering with Tech Integration Specialist, Rocky Mariani-Prall, first grade teacher, Ms. Pelis, had her students passing visible light through gummy bears, bouncing off mirrors, reflecting through magnifying glasses and so much more. For their sound lab, students experimented with sound waves and dancing rice, traveling sound through string, echoes and more. Students were extending their learning beyond their classroom into the lab to learn more about refraction, reflection and absorption of light.
