The JFK School Council is an elected group of caregivers, school staff, and community members who meet monthly to provide input into the creation and adoption of school community and educational goals that align with the district vision and state standards. The Council helps the Principal craft a School Improvement Plan to identify and improve the educational needs of JFK students and then works together to develop policies, programs and projects that support the staff in realizing this vision. These have included developing content for “Rise Up JFK Day’, creating an Anti-Bias and Equity Committee, investigating options for after-school transportation, contributing to revising the Code of Conduct, helping create education around vaping, and much more.
***Caregivers, staff, and community members are always welcome to join.
