Principal Madden’s Weekly Message—Week of November 15, 2021

Hello!

I hope you enjoyed the weekend!

Photos

This week’s photos show some highlights from our 5th Grade Nature Week last week (and, yes, they are building fires!), first graders enjoying some of our garden potatoes with Ms. Hope, and first graders out on a Wood Wednesday adventure. The fall weather has been very nice for all of our outdoor learning!

Also, there is a photo of items from Lost and Found—please take a look! We have put these items outside the front door. Please come and take anything your child has lost. We’ll have them there until Thursday afternoon and then we will donate.

PTO Fundraiser

This week, Dev and Andre Boulay (parents and owners of A2Z Science) are holding a PTO fundraiser for Ryan Road School! Here is the information! Get some shopping done early, and help to support our school. Thank you!

COVID Updates

We had great news (AGAIN) with our weekly safety check testing (pool testing). All pools from Friday (11/12) were negative. Yea! Please stay vigilant regarding COVID safety and get vaccinated if you have not already done so. And, call me if you have any questions.

We will continue to have our safety testing on Thursdays. We begin at 8:30. Some members of the National Guard have been helping us with our testing. Our fabulous nurse, Karen Schiaffo, and/or I always accompany any testers as we collect all the swabs. We are getting this down to a pretty efficient routine. We have a large number of students testing, which is fabulous. If you want to have your child participate or if you have questions about the testing, please contact Nurse Karen.

Here is a handy QR Code to sign up!

Call (587-1557) or email our wonderful nurse, Karen Schiaffo, if you have any questions.
