Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of January 14

Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of January 14

I hope everyone is staying warm on these chilly January days! I wanted to give everyone a reminder to please bundle up your children with all the right winter gear for recess, as we go out unless it is below 15 degrees. Luckily, we had an amazing donation of hand-made hat/mitten sets. We have given away many of these beautiful and cozy items. Check out the photo to see. A neighbor, Donna Pasternak, made us many sets of different colors and wanted them to help children enjoy the outdoors.

We had a fun and well-attended movie night on Friday night. Check out the photo of people getting settled for the showing of Incredibles 2. Our next movie night is scheduled for February 8. Come and join in the fun!

Some of the other photos show our clever third graders building computers! Yes, that is right! Our young engineers are being guided by our Technology Integration Specialist. When I asked them how they knew what to do, they confidently told me that they have a “blue print”. Excellent! What an exciting project!

The last photo shows some weaving of different paintings by some of our 4th graders. We always have beautiful art work hanging in our hallways.
