Hard @ Work with Global STEM

The JFK Middle School – Coventry, England Global STEM Initiative is churning right along as late spring approaches. Students from both schools are putting finishing touches on their collaborative projects in preparation for their shared presentations set for June. It has been amazing watching the kids share, work, and smile.

Our boat, The Sojourner’s Truth, was successfully launched off the coast of MA in March with the help of a research vessel from Woods Hole. It is sending back real-time data about water and air temperature as it makes it’s way across the Atlantic. Alas, it has gotten caught in the Gulf Stream, but we are hoping the trade winds blow it back on track to our friends in England.
