Hi JSS,
I hope everyone is in the back-to-school swing of things!
I have a few newsletter things to share with you, but first, I want to tell you a tiny story.
One of our students was having a tricky moment (as we all do), and a JSS educator chatted with them about their shirt to help lighten things up. The educator said, “I love that shirt! Where’d you get it?”
“At that store that’s next to another store,” the student replied, coolly. Without missing a beat, the educator nodded, affirming the student, and said,
“Oh. There’s a lot of stores like that.”
Indeed there are.
I love our school, and I love the way everyone is so loving and affirming of the kids in our care.

Espero que todo el mundo esté en el ritmo de la vuelta al cole.
Tengo algunas cosas del boletín que compartir con vosotros, pero primero quiero contaros una pequeña historia.
Uno de nuestros alumnos estaba pasando por un momento difícil (como todos), y un educador de JSS charló con ellos sobre su camiseta para ayudar a aligerar las cosas. El educador dijo: “¡Me encanta esa camiseta! ¿De dónde la has sacado?”
“En esa tienda que está al lado de otra tienda”, respondió el alumno, con frialdad. Sin perder el ritmo, el educador asintió, afirmando al alumno, y dijo,
“Ah, hay muchas tiendas así”.
Efectivamente, las hay.
Me encanta nuestra escuela, y me encanta la forma en que todos son tan cariñosos y afirman a los niños a nuestro cargo.
